Getting stuck in the mud!

Some year 3 and year 5 pupils went on a trek through Roydon Fen with Mr Santy on Wednesday.

We wanted to study the local area around our school and went for a wander in the wilderness!

Our journey took us past trees both standing

and fallen.

Along narrow paths

and through picturesque fields.

We also made sure we didn't disturb the habitat that surrounded us.

However we couldn't help playing in the mud!

Even if some of us got stuck.....

And although we had to do work including sketches and data collection

We made sure we put our feet up and enjoyed our day out in Roydon Fen!

BEWARE! Scary masks!

Class 4/3G have been studying Africa. They made African masks with Mrs Watts before Easter.

They were used to scare away predators. However they scared quite a few adults in school!

Each child was able to create their own design and model it for the rest of the class. Ofcourse everyone had to remember to cut eye holes and a mouth hole!

Aidan said "I liked making the masks very much. They were scary but really good because you could design them yourself."
